Oblivion
Prof. S called me two days ago, telling me an interesting episode.
One day while she was wondering what color of the curtain to go with her window and arguing the price with the clerk, the doctor called and told her that she had cancer. Then, she was shocked, of course, and thought forgetting about the color, the curtain or even the price. I can image the situation at that time. Since I have known her for years, I knew she is the person who takes care of every detail. The disease made her change, no choice but to change. Yes. What can be so worse than that?
Few minutes later, I got a call from my colleague, complaining about my students. Haha, it indeed made me worried. Then, I started thinking …. For years, I have pushed myself and my students to go on the right track. I thought that was duty I needed to do though I felt tired especially in the past year. Anyhow, I was really tired!
