It is October. It is the first time for me to go to an international conference. Although I do not really appreciate the weather and even the conference, I love the feeling that I can escape from the busy life for a while.

According to Lally & Miller (2006), there is a significant relationship between academic performance and self-concept. It sure is. The experience reminds me that learners with low self-concept tend to have lower academic achivements. However, here comes another question: Do students with high self-concept perform significantly better even if they are lower academic achievers? So far, it seems to be positive. However, the result seems to be limited. I need to have more evidence to say so.
